And no, there wasn't a tornado in every county of the state of Alabama yesterday. While there did end up being some severe weather in the state later in the afternoon, severe thunderstorms with hail and straight-line winds. I'm not aware of any damage reports at this time, although I did witness the heavy downpours and ponding on roadways myself.
