Ambulance Scam Lands One Man in Jail

A sting that stretches several states ends with a Huntsville businessman behind bars. And police impound, of all things, ambulances.

WAFF 48 News Special Assignment Anchor Varion Walton was the only reporter on the scene for the take down. This is her exclusive report.

It's an unusal case of buyer beware which stretches from Mississippi to Illinois. Future patients may pay the highest price for the alleged scam.

"Chicago, Illinois sent 7 ambulances to Woody Anderson Ford to be brought here to be turned over into ambulances. They in fact waited and waited to receive those ambulances. Nothing was happening," Huntsville police officer Kenith Walls said...
