a note to my readers

The war of continues in my sinus passages, with the bacteria having defeated the Biaxin in the first round. The Biaxin launched it's final assault on Thursday, and there were pockets of resistance which scoffed at the antibiotic, and regrouped. So, yesterday I went back to Dr. F, and we have unleashed the antibiotic equivalent of Special Forces - doxycycline. I've been on it before, and suprisingly enough, it is easier on the stomach while taking no prisioners on the microbial front. Shall I go through the list of diseases I will not have by the time I'm done with this course? Sure, because it's amusing as hell:
  • Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
  • Typhus
  • Chlamydia
  • Psittacosis
  • Anthrax - any form
  • The Plague, Yersina pestis - that's right, wiped out half of Europe in the Middle Ages, and it's still around
  • Cholera
  • Listeria
  • Syphilis
  • Gohorrhea
  • Acne
  • Vincent's Infenction (Trench Mouth)
  • E. coli
Oh, yeah. Gotta love this list. Not gonna have anything after this but a yeast infection. Or was that TMI? Also, my brain is well and truly fried, from antihistimines, cough supressants, and such. So don't expect anything intelligent for the next few days. Just the insane ramblings of a woman with a bad sinus infection.

Hopefully your bloodword is the lesser of possible evils.

That is one evil "shopping" list. Just reading it makes me uncomfortable ... and itchy ... and a tad queasy.

I'm going to go lie down.

But hey, that's all the stuff I won't have when this is all said and done. Glad that I won't have to worry about the Bubonic or Pneumonic Plague for a while. And hey, never know when there's going to be a big Cholera outbreak in Alabama... :)
